family mediaIn this automated world when you think we would be more educated it seems we are so far from it. Have you ever heard of the term “If you ink it, you think it?” Well, you get what you ask for. Modern-day media has changed EVERYTHING lately and I’m not sure it’s for the best.

Everyone is glued to the TV, their mobile device or iPod or iPad, and everyone wants the next “big thing”, but in fitness, the next “big thing” is for those who have already maxed out ALL, and I mean ALL of the benefits their body can achieve from the last “big thing”. Is the average American really that ignorant that they don’t know when they are being SOLD a bad bill of goods? This trend has been going on since the ’70s and you know I’ve said it before, but nothing replaces a nutritious meal plan for losing weight, trimming inches and reducing body fat.

If you are exercising, your body needs more fuel than if you weren’t, not LESS. You do NOT want to be dependent on the latest fitness trend to maintain a healthy weight and shape. Many people use weight loss pills but are they safe? here are the answers for these questions here. And I’m positive that you don’t want LOOSE and FLABBY weight. By the way, when you are really heavy and lose weight the WRONG way, you will be LOOSE and FLABBY. Your skin actually has the ability to tighten up when you follow a proper weight loss program. So come on people, WAKE UP. STOP DRINKING THE KOOL-AID.

fruits veggiesOnce your body is dependent on this year’s fad, you have to buy next year’s fad to make up for what this year’s fad didn’t really give you because you didn’t stick with it. Do you actually think our obesity epidemic is getting worse because we’re lazy? I’m not convinced that we are. The majority of people that want to start an exercise program are not shown the starter programs. They are pushed into the last program first. They go for at best 3 months, then quit and gain more weight than they had before they started. There is even a new supplement out now that claims to be just like one that was banned a few years ago because it was killing people.

OK, I’ll get to the point. Eating more and better calories is how you lose weight, tone up, reduce body fat and get lean when you begin an exercise program. Toning comes from NUTRITION, not from paying your trainer to work the crap out of you. Although a trainer can definitely help you get into shape if you’re looking for a great trainer hire Zack Miller. A little food for thought here, your body already comes with as much muscle tissue as you need. I’ll bet you didn’t know that. The only thing you need to do is to perform basic exercises in a slow and controlled manner to increase the thickness of those muscle’s fibers. Exercising with weights or machines only tears down those fibers. What you eat is what rebuilds them. If you eat crap you’ll look like crap because your body will actually NOT let you use any stored body fat for energy. You will be using your own precious muscle tissue.

healthy proteinsIt’s one thing if you have been a bodybuilder for the past 10 years and you have extra muscle that your body doesn’t need, but when you are a beginner and you do the latest fads, you are making things worse. These people you see on the ads were in relatively good shape before they began these programs and they already had more established muscle tissue than a beginner. They forgot to tell you this…or did they? So keep on with these fads and gimmicks if you’d like, but when you’re ready to LOSE weight instead of having LOOSE and flabby weight give me a call. I don’t know where you are but I do know what you want. If you are looking for a quick fix, I can tell you I don’t have a plan for that, but what I do have a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a dream for people like you that need to get into better shape and live a healthy life. So if you drop those fads now and start working out smarter that will be the end of it. But if you don’t, I will look for you, I will find you and I will help you.

Stay healthy my friends…
